“I'm not worried about it,” says Tampa Bay Rays’ manager Joe Maddon about Toronto Blue Jays’ moves
The Tampa Bay Rays' manager Joe Maddon has recently talked openly about the Toronto Blue Jays recent ambitious moves.
Toronto Blue Jays have recently completed a mega deal with the Miami Marlins and signed a former San Francisco Giants' star Melky Cabrera.
With all these moves, many experts started to say that now Tampa Bay Rays will receive a harder competition from their rivals Toronto Blue Jays.
However, the Rays’ manager Joe Maddon has different opinion on this subject. He is not concerned at all and showing no worries regarding Blue Jays new look roster.
"I'm not worried about it, We've talked about this before. We've gone through this with other teams, whether it's Boston or New York or whomever with all the different things they do in the offseason.” Maddon said with confidence and answered all these rumours which are saying that Tampa Bay will be having tough time next season.
He added with more detail and talked to the media explaining about the recent speculations, "Now Toronto's doing it. But it's about what we do and how we co-habitate and how we make ourselves better. Coming off 90 wins with all the issues that we had last year, that's still pretty impressive."
The Blue Jays received some of the best talent recently when they traded with Miami Marlins. As the deal went official, the world media started their reviews.
One review suggests that Tampa Bay’s struggle to build a new ballpark received a big hammering. Now the Bay area officials will review once again about this potential initiative before approving it.
Miami Marlins built a new ballpark this past season, but with this recent trade, the fans are already disappointed and their interest to see homes games received a major shock as well.
Miami city Mayor have already written a letter to Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig about the fans’ anger on this deal which will certainly affect on overall attendance of the ball park.
Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Rays' management is still optimistic about their future despite their rival team is getting stronger and stronger.
