I'm 19 years old. I'm 5'4, and I weigh 190 lbs. Please consider that I have a lot of muscle. Also, my Italian genes make me have a stout frame. I see all these people who think they are fat, and they are my height or shorter, and weigh 150 lbs and under. So, please, tell me, am I wrong for not being such a worry body about my self image. I actually try to enjoy life at the fullest, and I do try to watch what I eat. Input please!!!

  1. No, I think its absolutely great! AT your age its wonderful that your not obsessed with your weight. It seems that you are a pretty down to earth girl for the age your at... lol

    :P

  2. the best weight to be is the one that you're comfortable with.

as long as you feel good its fine.

you don't have to be stick thin to be beautiful.

  3. Chin up you should be proud to be happy.

Smiles are few and far between espescially whe n girls talk about weight, so keep you chin up and falunt it girl!! what is so unattractive about most is there lack of confodance!!

  4. 190 is really heavy for 5'4" and unhealthy.  It's great that you're happy with the way you are, but with that said you should still attempt to improve your health.  You should, even with your build be down to at least 160lbs.  Keep the attitude you have, but try cutting your diet to 2000 calories a day.  Treating yourself to a good meal every once in a while and exceeding 2000 calories is fine, but try not to do it more than once a week.

  5. nothing is wrong with being happy, being you!

  6. It's great that you have a good body image.  There are so many questions on here from girls who are delusional about how thin they should be.  I think it's scary because the girls are often too young to be so obsessed about weight.

  7. I think it's great that you are happy with who you are!! Far too many women these days are only focused on how they look, which is sooooo superficial. I admire your self-confidence. As for your question...

many times people who have a bigger frame/build try to lose weigh and get frustrated when they don't achieve the results they are looking for. The reasoning for this is because they aren't meant to be that small! If you are watching what you eat and exercising three times a week or more, you have (pretty much) nothing to worry about. Make sure you visit your doctor regularly to make sure your cholesterol, blood pressure and other various health elements are in check and normal. :)

  8. Well I personally dont care abot looks so its great that you think the way you do... i wish many girls did the same...

but the S***y thing about being fat is being outof shape! cardio never hurt anione

  9. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being comfortable in the body you have.  Of course, it is important to get plenty of exercise and make healthy eating choices, but feeling good about yourself is never wrong.  We could probably all stand to make better choices in terms of what we eat and how active we are, no matter what we weigh.  You seem to have a pretty realistic view of your body type, and I'm sure you already know where you can make improvements for your health.  If you are concentrating on well-being over self-image, you really can't go wrong.  It's refreshing to know that women with good self-esteem still exist in spite of the media's best efforts to eradicate them.

  10. What does your Dr. say. Even with a big frame it sounds like lot of extra pounds for your height. It is good you feel great about yourself. You can still have foods you love but in smaller amounts.
