I'm obsessed with saving the enviroment?

I really want to help save the planet and all of the animals in it(I like to think big) but everyone at my school is either a complete aerosol junkie or an idiot who doesn't understand the word enviroment. What groups can I join, and how can I get awareness through in my school? I can't join Greenpeace coz I am only 13

Please don't join Greenpeace.... don't be a radical.

Instead, just recycle and stuff like that.

Energy use isn't a big thing I don't think but whatever floats your boat if you want to sacrifice your quality of life.

But just remember that AGW is a hoax and always put people FIRST!

It's great that you want to help the enviroment!! To get awareness through out your school, I would ask the principal or a superentendant or someone if you could put up posters through your school. Also if you could mabie start an after-school club about the enviorment. You can ask if you could change some of the light bulbes in your school to energy saving ones. And also ask if at lunch that the cafeteria would have a reciling bin or something.

You could join WWF which cares both about the environment and animals. You could also start explaining with your friends to another peers why we should save the environment and in what we we can achieve that!

Scientist Implicates Worms in Global Warming

  Jim Frederickson, the research director at the Composting Association has called for data on worms and composting to be re-examined after a German study found that worms produce greenhouse gases 290 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

Worms are being used commercially to compost organic material and is in preference to putting it into the landfill. The German government wants 45% of all waste to be composted by 2015.

"Everybody... thinks they can do no harm but they contribute to global warming. People are looking into alternative waste treatments but we have to make sure that we are not jumping from the frying pan into the fire," said Frederickson.

Well, as with most tree huggers..... they are all for saving the environment until "they" have to do something that changes their way of life.....  Me personally, I belong to PETA...people eating tasty animals......  When you decide to get real about being a tree hugger...... is when you no longer ride or drive a car...... don't use make up.... cause most are tested on animals.....  stop using the hair dryer or curling iron..cause it uses electricity.... no longer shop a target, wla-mart or Kmart as they buy most of their stock from China, who is a major contributitor to environmental pollution   and stop eating meat..... Until then, you'll be just another countless person that cries to be an environmentalist but, who in reality is just a hypocrite

Do not let your obsession cloud your judgement. The enviroment is a noble cause but it enviromentalists who are too obsessed put animals and the earth before mankind. Do not hinder progress it is a waste of time.

Enviromentalist have stalled America's ability to wain ourselves off of foreign oil and then complain when we go to war in the middle east.

You can be responsible with out ruining America.

have a look around for community groups where you live. Hopefully you can find some, tell/invite your friends and maybe you can even get them to visit your school. Also you could talk to teachers or the principal and see if you can start a group yourself? start small and get some activities happening just at your school like tree planting :)

Chlorofluorocarbons have been banned, so aerosols aren't a problem anymore.

As far as "saving species" 35-150 species die off EVERY day!! "saving" them would be a great task ,and very unnatural,since this is a natural progression of the environment.

Greenpeace has been denounced by its own founder as being a radical group,with no basis in scientific data.

hi i am 13 to and make your own group up. and by the way it is great that you are trying to save the environment. and write a letter to the queen  cause she is ment to represent the uk. yet she creates more pollution a day than any other person does. with all her air travel. by the way keep thinking big i do i am trying to become an actor but i will try to be as green as possible as actors travel alot ( i will get a green car) good luck mate

im not sure if 150 species die off everyday ... but if you say so then i sure do miss the 54000 species of exotic animals that have died off this past year
