I'm on SSI disability and I am trying to find out how to work from home

Does anyone know if there is a certain organization or website that allows people on disability to work from home due to their specific condition? such as anxiety, agoraphobia, panic attacks. If you are handicap, can you work from home through the social security or Through a vocational rehabilitation place? also what kinds of jobs can you do from your home for people who are disabled? All of these sites out here about work from home are a load of c**p, all they want is money. I'm looking for something more legit that is specifically for people with disabilities and on SSI or maybe I can go through a company to work from home. None of those bogus websites please.

  1. From the years of me trying to find out something like you are searching for, I too find that they are all scams.  They want your money first, so how is that helping you out.

Please be very careful, and best wishes to you.

  2. IF SSI Finds out your working they will stop your benefits, SSD on the other hand allows you to work 9 months until they interfere, the difference is important.although it is illegal, work off the books OR RISK LOSING YOUR CHECK

  3. First, check out the SSI work incentive programs:

Are you Receiving Benefits and Interested in Working?

If you are interested in working, the Ticket to Work Program is the key to unlocking vocational rehabilitation, training, job referrals, and other ongoing support and services to help you reach your employment goals. The program is available for people who are between the ages of 18 and 65 and receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for people who are disabled or blind.

Then contact your local Information and Referral service for details about local programs that assist disabled people in finding work. Try dialing 2-1-1 from your phone; in many communities the United Way operates the 2-1-1 referral service. If the United Way in your community does not do this, then check your state and local governments for programs that assist disabled people.
