  1. The Canadian Immigration Center gives you all the details you need. And if you are a Filipino national, then yes you will need a temporary resident visa to visit Canada.

I cannot tell you how long it will take, but pretty sure you cannot get it on the same day you apply. Your best bet is to ask the Canadian Embassy in Manila.

Or if you are already in the USA, you can check with a Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your area. They should be in the phone book, or you can search online.

  2. It will take a while to get a visa to visit Canada.  It can take months.  The best route is to apply for it from home.  Check with the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines and they will help you work through the process.  It may be much more complicated to do it from the USA.  If you are already in the USA then your best option would be to contact a Canadian embassy there and see what the requirements are.  It may cost several hundred dollars.  These links may be of some help.

  3. It depends on your nationality...what is your original country of origin?
