can i have the plan suspended under dire emergencies?

  1. You must contact IRS at 1-800-829-0922 or 1-800-829-8374 or 1-800-829-7650 to make other payment arrangements, and if acceptable they will contact your employer to stop sending in the payments.  You can't request employer to stop send in the payments.  

    IRS will grant a skip on your monthly payment if your reason is acceptable.


  2. If you mean the $$$ you owe the IRS, good luck getting them stopped once started. Those vampires will bleed you dry until they get theirs.

  3. file Form 911. then file an Offer In Compromise. One rarely gets out from under installment payments with the IRS.

  4. No. The payroll deductions are to pay for social security and medicare/medicaid. The payment plan is just to pay your taxes. They are totally different.  

  5. If you are unable to pay what you owe, call IRS and give them the information.  If, based on IRS expense standards, you can not pay without having a hardship, the account can be suspended until your situation improves.
