  1. dont worry about moving up.it doesnt matter how many games you win .i shoot league to.there were times when i sat out  or lost and they moved me up

  2. depends on your leagues ranking system.  what is the scale from 2-7? how many higher or lower ranked players than you are there?  the ranking program might factor in overall skill level of the league when ranking its members.  by what margin did you win the 7 games and by what margin did you lose your 2 games?  the ranking program might also consider this information.  if you broke and ran all you games and just barely lost the 2 games by 1 ball then you might move up sooner than you wanted.

best advice is just to play pool and learn all you can about pool.  hopefully you are playing pool for the enjoyment of it and not to scam people in your pool league by dumping just enough games to keep a lower handicap until the league finals come around.

  3. It also depends on who you beat, what are their ratings? Are you beating 2, or 3s? You would prob stay the same. If it is APA, if you beat 2-3 5's or higher, than you would go up after 2-3 games if I remember correctly. To increase your rating, you have to beat higher ranked players AND/OR use less innings.
