Hey, I really need some help here.

I've been on Fluoxetine (it's an antidepressant, which is supposed to help my low seretonin level) for about 2 months.. I've realized that I can ejaculate, but don't have much of an o****m. I've read that a sied effect is delayed o****m..but I can still ejaculate...

Is this normal?

Oh, and..I'll only be on it for like...6 months I think. When I stop taking this, will I be able to o****m?

Thanks so much!

  1. Differences in sexual experiences are common with antidepressants.  You need to talk to your doctor.  And ejaculation and o****m are separate events, although they usually occur close together.

  2. Talk to your doctor. Perhaps there's a better antidepressant out there with fewer side effects. Also, I'd recommend reading the "Feeling Good Handbook" which is a very effective book to help with all-things depression. It's quite possible to get out of your slump without taking meds the rest of your life. Good luck!

  3. It's very normal, and if you're ejaculating, you're having an o****m, even if it's not the best one.  When you stop taking the drug, you'll be back to normal in this regard.
