What formatt would you use on a letter that will be sent out to local businesses requesting donations to help with the cost of our reunion.

  2. I didn't know they did things like that.  What happened to the money you raised as a class while you were  in school.  Isn't that what is suppose to pay for such events?

    Our Reunion Committee is planning a first ever ALL 80’s High School Reunion for xxxxx High. The event will take place July 17, 2004.  With your help, we can make it a success.  One of your associates, _________, is an alumnus of our school and suggested that we contact you.

    We are hoping that you will be able to donate ______ or items of your choosing. We will use these items for a silent auction during the night of the event to raise funds to cover the costs of the weekend’s events.  Any remaining funds will be donated to the xxxxx Alumni Scholarship Fund.

    If you would like, we will include you in the souvenir program/memory book to be distributed the night of the event and to be mailed to those who are unable to attend the event but request a copy. Please list any information you would like to include here:

  4. Sell ads to the booklet you are preparing for your class.  Get quotes from everyone you can.  Also, you should list any deaths in the last 10 years.  Good luck.

  5. Just use normal letter format - there is no need for it to be formal...
