Question:

I'm on my school's diving team and it starts on September 1st. How can I train for it?

I have a relatively high metabolism so I'm pretty thin, and my friend who is a swimmer told me I should work out for diving season. Help??

  2. See whether there is a swim/dive club in your area, which gives the opportunity for year-round training.  Check USADiving.org for more information.

  3. Not much of a team if you don't have a coach.

  4. i would say just get in shape.

    go running, do situps.

    just stay lean and healthy :]

  5. Gymnastics is an amazing way to work out for diving. As you get better you will be practicing flips and twists that you need for diving. Plus it will keep you flexible and give you better posture (straight tight body, pointed toes, etc) that is need to prevent flops in diving.

    I took gymnastics for a few years before I decided to do a summer diving class.  I was so much more prepared for it than the other kids were.
