Also, how have people coped with the non-smoking policy? Is it easy enough to pop outside pubs and clubs for a quick smoke? Or shall I take some nicorette????

  1. are you english? the smoking ban is no problem. temple bar is probably the best place for you guys. stay out of Dublin 8

  2. The Temple Bar area is the place to be. Here you'll find heaps of pubs all beside each other. There is one (can't remember the name) that has a covered area outside where you can smoke. We went last July and the place was hiving. Brilliant. Someone handed my friend a cig in a pub, and with her being used to smoking in pubs didn't think. The manager just asked her to politely put it out. Also a lot of hotels allow you to smoke. We stayed in the Days Inn.

  3. Loads of stag and hen parties head to Temple Bar area - you will have a great nite if you head in that direction !

  4. could you not just go to amsterdam and leave us alone... much as we love your money we cant stand english, i'm guessing your english stag do's its nothing against english people but theres hundreds of you every weekend getting sick all over temple bar...  ok but still irish hospitalliy and all, bars - the porterhouse on parliment street is a nice place to start a crawl through temple bar... most pubs have heated smoking areas, beer gardens the like so the nicorette won't be needed.  to be honest the best places probably won't let a stag do in so just stick to temple bar ... on the south side of the river across the halfpenny bridge or from the south side its the right hand side of dame street... have fun and don't cause to much trouble please and if you get lost ask directions theres nothng i hate more than seeing some tourist staring aimlessly a map to scared to ask the locals for help
