my boyfriend and his family are going and i got invited, they do alot of gambling. i'm planning on going into the casino's with them. you can't even set foot in the casino unless you're over 21 right? well i know i'm not old enough, i'm not going to gamble, i'm just going to stand there and watch him play and drink shirley temples or something lol.

now the question is.. if i get i.d.'ed, and they find out i'm under 21, the most they'll do is kick me out right? can i get arrested?

  1. They make you leave the gambling area of the casino.

  2. No, they won't I.D you because you look like an old hag.  And no, you're not pretty.  Get a nose job.  You're welcome.

  3. Angie, if you are caught in the casino gaming areas and you are under 21, you will be escorted out of the gaming area. However, you may be fine as long as you act like you belong. I still don't recommend that you gamble, because if you win any significant amount, all money will be forfeited to the casino. You can't even let someone over-age take over the slot machine or whatever, since you'll be on camera gambling.

While you are in AC, I have a few non-gambling options for you. AC has built up a great outdoor outlet mall, located across the street from Caesars (and about 5 other casinos...they are all in a strip). The Tropicana Hotel has an Imax theater and a great area with restaurants and stores. Across the boardwalk from Caesars is a large mall with a nautical theme. The top floor is particularly nice, with a glass exterior and areas with sand and chairs (inside) so you can enjoy the view. And, of course, there is the casino and the boardwalk.

    Have a great time.

  4. I used to go to AC before I turned 21.  On my first visit I tried to enter the Bally's gaming floor.  I was promptly carded by the first security guard I came across and was shown to the nearest exit.  From then on, I pretty much stayed out on the boardwalk and on the beach...  I didn't want to be told twice!

As some of the others have said, you can go into the casinos if you're 18, you just can't enter the gaming floor.  That is to say that you are permitted to make your way through the casinos, so long as you don't step off of the path onto the carpeted gaming floor.  Not all casinos have paths like this.  I know Caesars does (that's where we always stay/play), but I don't think Bally's does.  You'll be able to tell the difference by whether or not it's carpeted; gaming floors are carpeted.

Having said that, if you're just planning to watch your boyfriend gamble, you could probably get away with doing so by standing behind him even though it would mean standing on the gaming floor.  I recommend that's where you stand because if you stand on the "pathway" behind him for any length of time, you will be asked to move on by security.  They don't like you to loiter on the paths through the casino.  Do not, under any circumstance, sit down at a machine or other chair on the gaming floor to watch your boyfriend play.  Those seats need to remain open for people who are of age and are there to gamble.

I really hope your boyfriend's family is playing/staying on the boardwalk side of AC and not at the Borgata, Harrah's or Trump Marina because if they are, you will probably get really bored if you are found out, and asked to leave the gaming floor.  Those hotels probably have a pool you could go to, but that's about it.  However, on the boardwalk side, there are plenty of other things you could do.  It's nice weather right now.  It's not nice enough to get in the water, but you could walk the beach and boardwalk - there are tons of souvenir shops that sell all kinds of stuff for really cheap.  And there's the Pier that's connected to Caesars.  Inside are some really high-end boutiques, a huge candy store, restaurants, and a fountain show.  There is also an overlook off the back that allows you to get a view of the boardwalk/casinos from a vantage point out over the ocean.  It's beautiful!  There are also tons of outlet stores on the street side of the casinos.  They're located near the front of Caesars.

There's also an IMAX theatre at the Tropicana, and I believe there is an arcade at the Taj.

I'd ignore the person who told you not to go.  You can still have fun!  And, if you get the chance to do so, take your boyfriend out to the beach to watch the sunrise.  It's amazing!

  5. You can't step on the gaming floor, but you can hit the shops and restaurants. It is a little too cold to hit the beaches this time of year in A.C. Other than that, there is not much to do. A.C. is fun when you can drink and gamble. Otherwise it may be a little boring for you.

  6. if they ID you and ask you to leave fine, but then don't try to go in again because at that point they can arrest you for trespassing.  I would seriously consider staying home.  There are a few things to do in A/C, but if the other folks are really into gambling, you are going to be bored.

  7. You do nto have to show your id when in a casino, to best your odds, dont even  carry ti with you since the ONLY thing it can do is prove your underage.  Buy in large amounts and start up a conversation with the floorperson/or another player immediately upon sitting down to not give him a chance to ask for your id.  Act like youve been there before.  When i played while i was underage, i often used the excuse that i left my id in my glovebox because i got pulled over on the parkway, and that i will go and get it.

Dont try to underage gamble at the borgata, they have an id everybody policy there.  Ceasars is somewhat strict also.

  8. You can go inside the casino's, you just can't sit at the tables or slot machines (well you can try the slot machines but i wouldn't sit down for more than a few minutes and you will get kicked out if you get caught!) Also, if u win anything, make sure u give the ticket to someone over 21 to cash it for u.

    HAVE FUN!!!!!

  9. LOL. Sounds like one h**l of a good time for you. NOT! I'd stay home and hang out with my friends where aI wouldn't need to worry about any of that.

  10. I live in NJ & you're not allowed in the casino at all under age.  If you get caught you will get escorted out.
