I was going to get a PO Box, but I don't want to have to leave the house everyday to get my mail. Anyone know any other options so my mail will come to my house without clients knowing my home address?

  1. It is hard to say without knowing the type of business, but you may consider using the internet with PayPal or some similar service.

  2. Well. what you need is a mail forwarding service. It will not be free. The .local UPS store or a non-USPS Mail Box service could provide the forwarding. However, all will require a photo ID and to verify your home address.

Using a P.O. box or an mail box will not protect you if you do anything Illegal. That's Why they require the ID..

  3. Use a mail forwarding service. They repackage your mail and send it to you.

  4. nope  get   the po box

  5. Keeping your home address private while doing your business form home is very important.

The most professional and reliable solution for my own businesses has been to use a mail drop and forwarding service. The one I use below is reasonably priced and has a service guarantee. One of the best features I feel they have is ability to have them scan in your mail, discard or forward  your mail to your private address via their online system. So I cut my junk mail to zero since using them and I can see what comes in the mail without leaving  the house.

I tried other services and most just fell short in the service category.

    Hope this helps...

  6. Hi There,

Good Post!  I love everything about business, escpecially the marketing and advertising parts.  These things make or break a business.  I've found many ways to advertise my business that might help you.  If you have a website, try SEO and PPC (pay per click from Google Adwords).

If you advertise your business offline, try handing out flyers, printing coupons, and yellowpage advertising).

The best method I've found yet is to buy business cards and hand them out everwhere.  I buy them from a place online that gives the cards for free and only charges for shipping and handling.  I hand these out to everyone I meet, and I leave them on cars where ever I go (I also got a free business card holder that looks really impressive)!
