I'm out on bail what is the possibility of me seeing jail/prison time for being caught with 8 pills

You don't mention what the pills were. Were they prescription or are you talking about Extasy? Extasy is a class x felony, and I believe there are mandatory minumum sentences for even just one pill let alone eigth. if you get a good lawyer you can probably plea baragin it down to something smaller.

What kind of queston is that?  Are you serious?  Don't be an idiot!  Just one type 1 narcotic without a prescription is a felony in most states...  If you want to play with your life, then have a happy one... behind bars that is...

It depends on the judge.  Are these pills considered felony charges?

If they are, the judge might remand you back to custody or he can just give you a separate bail for this charge.  At the end the District attorney might consolidate these two cases against you.

Well, we would need a bit more info.  Is it your first offense?  What kind of pills?  Were there minors present?  Was a warrant issued or were you arrested on the spot?  How long were you in before release?

My guess would be if it's your first offense and you already spent a night in jail and the pills are narcotics you will get a hefty fine and/or some community service.   My first arrest i had a 10 strip of acid and i got 40 hrs. comm. service.

If this is your first criminal offense, then I would say you will get probation. If you are returning AGAIN, then pack a bag. You ain't going back home..................
