I'm over a week late on my period...was supposed to start last Monday...

and I took a test last friday and it came back negative. Do you think that maybe it could have been too soon to test?? This cycle has been weird.. i had mid-cycle spotting, I'm NEVER late for my period. I had s*x right around ovulation so there is a chance that i could have gotten pregnant. I know if I don't start I need to go to the doctor, but my question is do you guys think that I should try another test?? I'm not having any of my normal signs that my period is getting ready to come on either. I just don't want to go and buy a test if that one i took was more than likely accurate. Many I ovulated later than I thought and it was too soon?? Have any of you taken a test and it took a while to come up positive?

Most people take more than one test. Also one week late really isn't a good indication. You will in your life have your cycle change. Looking at all the facts, there is a possibility, but don't freak over just one week. Do another test for your peace of mind.

Test again, but wait a couple of days. I think you may have tested too soon the first time. Baby dust to you

i tested 1 week after i was late and it came up +, but my friend she was like 4 weeks late b4 it came up on a drs test. she had said she tested when she was 2weeks late and it came up -

go to the drs the have urine sticks that can measure from 10mui rather than the normal 25. gd luck x

i would retest and if neg then call the doctor.
