I'd like to pay as little as possible. Have it be cordless with good range. I want to be able to make and receive phone calls just as in the USA.

  1. You may want to check out the Panasonic Joip GlobaRange Hybrid Phone system.

It works as a dual phone - a cordless PSTN landline phone, and a cordless VoIP phone.  Plugs directly into your broadband router - No PC required to use.  All calls to other Joip users are free.  Calls to other USA landlines and cells is only 1.5 cent/min.

Joip claims it only takes about 3 minutes to install and start making calls.

  2. If you are in U.S Try Vonage, it's way cheaper than any other landline phone service. But you will need internet connection for that thou.

Or get a cell phone simple... take anywhere u like...

  3. I would say that the MagicJack is the perfect device for that . Everyone is using it now to call back to the USA.

you just plug the MJ device into your USB drive and use any old phone to connect!

You have a large choice of US area-codes, just register the MG get your number and go!! Takes about 5 minutes to set up.
