I'm painting my bathroom with two colors. Good idea?

im painting my bathroom with an mangoish color as the base and i cant decide whether or not to paint a wall with an accent color. the accent color would be a coral. Should i stick to only one color or go ahead and do both?

I agree with the others , if you are painting it in a mango col our then this is a pretty strong colour , I would stick with this as your main colour and try adding extras in an alternative ie cream so the room doesnt become overpowered with too much colour , alternatively try a contrasting colour for your accessories ie a dark green . Hope this helps . P.S you could also try using a colour wheel to find contrasting and harmonising colours.

i would say no coral...if you are going to accent it, i would use a different color. although, i'd be hard pressed to think of a color to use with mango. start with the mango and see where you are at...if you still want to accent it...might as well go for it. just make sure its what you want or you might even have to end up painting the mango color over again too!

i think that painting in bright or warm colors can really warm up/brighten the room, as opposed to just making it smaller...it just depends on the shade!

oh oh oh...i would maybe use some shade of green or brown to accent the mango. not too bright for the green, not too dark for the brown.

and maybe go for a tropical theme?

I would stick to the mangoish color on all walls. MAke sure it is a very pale shade though or your bathroom will seem very small. Use accents in the other color eg shower curtain, towels, mats.

Bathrooms are small usually so one colour will help in the feel of being bigger. Also bathrooms need to feel relaxed, too many colours become harder to accent with your towels and bath mats, etc. Keep the towels etc as your contrast colour rather than on the walls.
