I'm participating in the Miss Illinois Teen USA pageant in december. Any cool info on illinois i can say?

They usually ask each contestant "why are you proud to be from illinois?"

But.. i'm not sure of anything interesting besides the whole Barrack Obama answer that I know everyone will use.

why don't you look ip some history on the state youre from.

If you don't know why you're proud then maybe you shouldnt be participating for that state.

The question is of what you are proud of.

Not of what others are proud.

It could be anything! The scenery, the people, the stores, the food, the crime rate, the school system.

Just be honest about anything honestly that you can think of!
