  1. well just say that!  meals are free upto 15 dollars!

  2. Ask the restaurant to give you a fixed menu in your price range for four or five different choices for your guests to choose from so you don't need to worry about it in the end. That is the way most baby showers I have attended are done. Otherwise it may seem a little tacky if you put that on an invitation.

  3. You could always have a fixed menu for them to choose from for ease of service.  Arrange this with the restaurant, choose 3 - 4 entrees in your price range and even print up a menu from your computer for the occasion.  Inform the servers that those are the selections to be offered.

  4. Are you paying for everyone or just your friend?  If just your friend, let her know that you will pick up her bill and are on a $15 budget.  Otherwise, take the other suggestions and ask for a limited menu. However don't forget about the drinks and gratuity.

  5. Tacky,  very tacky.    To avoid being tacky you must make a choice..

#1.  Find a cheaper restaurant that you can afford and pay the whole bill.

    Or.

#2.  Make arrangements ahead of time with the restaurant for a fixed price for the group.   Or a fixed menu.   This should be done prior to sending out the invitations.

    Or.

#3. Invite them to your home and cook a nice meal for them or do a pot luck dinner.

  6. Talk to the restaurant manager, and get a preset, prepriced menu.  They will not be able to order more expensive items that way.

  7. One way you can do is to include a menu list on your invitation. YOUR menu list can say something like this.

You will be able to choose one entree from the following list:

    Chicken Alfredo

    Turkey melt sandwich

    etc.

Just make sure the items you list won't exceed $15. That's just my opinion.

  8. yeah say meals provided up to 15 dollars.

  9. Meet with the person at the restaurant who is coordinating your luncheon.  Explain your position to them and ask them to give you two items for your guests to select from.  Include the items on your RSVP card so your guests can make their choice and your problem is solved.  This really simplifies things and shows more class than saying "entrees are free up to $15.00."
