Congratulations on your impending grandmotherhood :)  My mom threw my shower and the games she picked were a huge success.  She got the package so she had all the games but the ones I remember playing off the top of my head were baby bingo,  baby trivia, nursery rhyme quiz and finish mommy's phrase/finish daddy's phrase.  I know we played a couple of other games I just cant remember them..here is a link to the web site:

there are so many you can take a roll of toilet paper and you can guess how many squares to go around the one pg. then there are taking cotton balls put in big bowl and each person can put their hand in there and grab one hand full and the most is winner. (you put the bowl on head of person puttin hand in there). you can play pin the tail on the donkey that is always neat. you can also put in milk bottle clothes pins by dropping them have each person kneel on a chair to drop it and only top of back of chair where you aim from. you can use names and see which name is the best or things like that there are places wher eyou buy party things that have books withall sorts of games for this.take care.

One of my favorites is to blindfold one woman, then put in her lap pair of oven mitts and a pair of nylons, her goal is to first put on the mitts then the nylons while blindfolded, as fast as she can.  Time her and then let the next woman do it. The fastest one wins the prize. I always give out Baileys.  It is hilarious to watch!  Have fun Grandma.

Put on gardening gloves and try to put a nappy on a baby sized doll. The quickest one is the winner. Very difficult.

(I mean a cloth nappy fastened with a safety pin, not the disposable ones.)

You will need enough clothes pins and you start the game when all the guest have arrived. To play you give everybody a pin and they can NOT say the word baby and whoever hears that person they lose there pin and by the end of the party the one with the most pins win. and to jazz it up a bit try to make someone say the word baby. Another games unscrambble baby items such as bottle crib anything that as to do with baby items. Also you could play baby bingo , thats pretty fun just print out things like baby and things that may be related to baby , we used cheeros for the bingo chips but you could use makers or whatever. Well your guests could try to figure out the baby's diaper size or how many pounds the baby is. ( You could do the height too.)
