  1. Just like buffett food or something, everyone loves a good party as long as there is food there (:

Buffett is normally the best type of thing to do

  2. I would serve the foods that she likes.  What foods do you and your family normally eat at parties? Go with that!

If she likes pizza, serve pizza, if she likes Italian food, serve baked zita, sausage and peppers with onions, and some chicken.  If she likes fried chicken, go with that and have some corn and mashed potatos and some salads.  Go with what SHE likes!

You can also do appetizers and snacks. You can have chips and dips on the tables, pizza bites and things like that and finger foods as the appetizers before the main food/dinner.

I would talk to your daughter and see what she would like.  You can do deli platters or one of the 6 foot sandwiches, see what she likes and what you normally eat at parties and go with it.  I think it's more important to have what she and you and your family like to eat then to go with people's suggestions would be.  Although there are ideas and they are good, you want to make sure that these are things that your daughter actually likes and will eat.

I hope this helps and that your daughter has a great party!

  3. brownie   spainsh  dip    sandwich   punch

  4. Cute finger food. Make things like pizza pinwheels- but higher class, like with chicken and sundried tomatoes. Make Chicken or beef satay. Make a good dip with chips. Make things that are higher class finger foods

  5. A buffet is always good, since it might be an Open House.  You can definitely have hot dishes then too:.... Swedish meatballs and the franks (chili sauce & grape jelly) in crockpots, served with toothpicks ....  Veggie/dip and fruit platters (I do a wreath of raw broccoli & cauliflower, with scattered cherry tomatoes & dip in the center at Christmas)  ....  Trays of assorted cookies  ... SNOWBALLS:  Make balls of ice cream; roll them in coconut and freeze.  You can pipe flower petals on the top, if you want;  serve in individual cupcake papers on a plate....

  6. Deviled Potato Salad
