I've never booked any trips before so i really need help!

In November I'm planning to go to Dubai (I live in Vancouver) But I also would like a stopover in Montreal. Now to get to Dubai anyways there are stop overs in Montreal but only for like a few hours. How would I go about booking the ticket so I have atleast 3 days in Montreal...Would I have to buy a seperate ticket going to Montreal, and then purchase one from Montreal to Dubai or how would it work??!!! I'm just worried about my luggage too..I want my luggage to go straight to Dubai but how will that work?!!!!

Can anyone help me!! Should I go through a travel agent or do it online? Whats cheaper?!!

  1. try this site for cheap flights and multiple  destinations

  2. Try both your options. You can book yourself and save or use a travel agent and save.  See what both can offer you and compare the pros and cons of both.

  3. I would just buy a ticket to Montreal, then I would buy one from Montreal to Dubai being it will be a 3 day thing.  You will have to reclaim your luggage and re-check it if it is on a separate ticket.  I don't know of any airline that has a 3 day layover.  I have only seen 24 hrs at the most.  However if I may suggest, do not buy your tickets on Priceline or any of those.  No matter what they say they get a cut of the price and it is usually higher than if you go straight through the airline website or by calling them.  I like KLM and Delta but those are just my preferences.
