My family is taking a trip to Canada in two weeks. We plan on staying in a hotel about five minutes away from the falls. What are some other activities that we can do besides the falls?

My family includes a 12 year old, a 15 year old, a 18 year old and my parents.

  1. That person above pretty much covered it theres also marineland where you get to see a bunch of whales including Buluga and Killer whales... um many many rides there. (If your interested in that stuff) they've got dolphins everything. Theres also ; something called Journey Behind the falls which I though was good . :) They have lots and lots of things. If you want more information check out tripadvisor.com search for niagara falls. Then you can click on things to do, hotels, restaurants everything

  2. If you are planning to trip in Canada then you can find it information from http://www.stayrescanada.com. You will get all information regarding Staying, Hotel ,Places in Canada. I think this website willbe usefull for you.

  3. Well there is the maid of the mist, a couple indoor water parks. Clifton hill has some great restaraunts a ferris wheel (really nice one) some haunted houses, a 3d theatre, fun house and some cool museums like the Ripleys one.

There is also Marineland which can be fun

    www.marineland.com

the butterfly conservatory or the aviary (bird house) are TONS of fun as well.  If you're really adventerous and have the money you can try the helicopter tour over the falls.  There is also something called the Jet boats which take you through the whirpools.  They are AWESOME!

About 20 minutes down there road there is also a town called NIagara-on-the-lake. great ice cream, great shopping winery tours (which are fun for all ages) horse drawn carriages through town and my personal favourite...Fort George.  They have people shooting muskets and cannons and they have music and everyone is dressed up like 1812 soldiers or soldiers' wives.  It is a TON of fun.  If you are there on the 16 or 17 they are having a HUGE music battle.  All of these old bands are coming to play and compete against each other.  It'll be a blast.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions just contact me through my profile and ask me:D

EDIT: there is also toronto which is about an hour and a half away (very short drive really) and there is a TON to do there which I can let you know about too
