I'm planning a trip to UK, can I also travel to Paris&Italy with a UK visa or do I also need Schengen visa?

I'm off to England this Oct but I also want a short visit to Paris, Rome and the Vatican....would the UK visa allow me to travel to these places? Thanks :o)
