  1. Nice, France is the most beautiful place in the world.  Its on the SE coast of France near Monaco.  its SO nice and the weather is perfect. Very friendly people too and it is much safer than places like Paris.

  2. It depends on your budget/whether you want touristy-ness or not.

    1. You can go to Nimes, which is very cool and historic, and most of it is walking distance.

    2. Biarritz has great beaches, shopping, and is right near spain. (45 mins) Very fun.

    3. Amboise has many castles and is very warm.

    4. Lastly, is Paris. Uber touristy and big.

  3. Any answer other than Paris would be simply absurd.

Paris is the center of France in a way that no city in America is center of the USA.

While there are many other places worth visiting in France there is no place else that can offer the number and sheer variety of tourist attractions that are present in Paris.

To have visited France and not seen the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, The Champs Elysee, the Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, the Latin Quarter, Montmartre, Montparnasse, the Musee D'Orsay, Invalides, or Saint Chapelle (among others)  would be unthinkable.

  4. Of course it all depends on the length of your trip, and what you like to do.  If you haven't seen Paris, you really should.  Just once, to say that you've been there, done that.  Other than that, I really do like the coast, my parent's used to have an apartment in Cannes.  There are a ton of great places to go within driving distance from there, Nice included.  There are some out of the way places just a little bit inland from the coast, that we loved.  I don't know about Nice, but the person that said it was less dangerous than Paris down there, is wrong.  I don't want to scare you off, because it's truly a gorgeous area, but you do have to know where to go, especially at night.  Just be aware of your surroundings, stick together in a group, and you'll be fine.  The only other suggestion I have is if you go to Cannes, don't go during the film festival.  It's way too crowded down on the boardwalk, that makes it a lot less fun.  You may think you'll see a lot of famous people, but really, the few times that I was there during the film festival, I saw maybe one or two directors or producers, and now I can't even recall who they were.  Oh, and it can be spendy down there.  Good luck with your trip, no matter where you go, France is a fun country.

  5. The Riviera and Provence (Aix, Avignon,...)

My photo is the bay of Nice

  6. Check out Hotel Henry IV in the heart of Paris, near Notre Dame catherdral. For the location, the price is low due to anti-moderization restrictions on this historic hotel.
