  1. Dont worry anywhere you go barr maybe galway city wont be that touristy at all, even town(Dublin city!) Co,wicklow is a lovely place, and theres a beatiful coastal town called Bray,Its right on the dart line(train line) which goes into dublin city..a dart every 15 minutes,or a bus every 15 minutes, depends what part of dublin you want to go to can time zone could be within 10 minutes to an hour,Or you could take the train down to wicklow town,Arklow,Wexford!:DAlso the west coast is exseptional beautifull!Around connamara, dingle, cork(has a gulf stream for the carribean..also very hot in the summer)

    Goodluck,and enjoy your stay!:D

  2. HI,

    try this. http://secretireland.blogspot.com/

    all the best

  3. County Wicklow, Mandi.

Well, the super tourist areas are that way for a reason. However, if you want to avoid the crowds, you can always come out of season, in April/May, for example, or October/November.

  4. Visit Cork, if you want to avoid the big cities! Great pubs & landscape

  5. Definitely check out staying in Wicklow County.  There are opportunities to stay on the countryside and explore the local areas that are seemingly untouched by tourists, and you won't be far from Dublin and visiting some ancient structures and sacred places.

    Good luck and have fun!

  6. DEFINITELY go to Galway, it is very genuine Ireland.

Additionally I'd do Bunratty Castle, it was one of my favorite places. It's really cool and has cool dinners and shops. It's near Shannon Airport I believe.

If you're going in warmer months, Dingle Peninsula is gorgeous scenery and even has some beaches.

If going near Dublin (though it basically feels like an American city) hit up Kilmainham (sp?) Gaol which is the jail where they kept the Easter Revolution and other revolutionaries. VERY cool tour and just the best experience I had in Ireland.

    You will have a blast!!!
