  1. Terrible choice for a first car. Jaguar was just sold by Ford, and the word is that dealer support is going to get even worse than it was. This particular model had horrible resale value (doesn't it bug you that a "luxury" car is only worth maybe 1/8 of the original purchase price?), was very unreliable, and was rated far below the cars it was intended to compete with (3-series BMW, Mercedes C-class, etc.).

Jaguar is a shell of its former self.

I'd skip the "luxury" part of your want list and go for "reliable". Usually, "cheap" and "luxurious" don't go hand-in-hand. Also, insurance might be high on this vehicle, especially if you're young.

I'm also a little skeptical of the price. It does indeed look like someone's wanting to get rid of it quickly.

  2. this car at this price screeaaammmms trouble.  its selling for less than 1/2 of what it should.  KBB retail value in excellent is 11k.  That raises a huge read flag.  You could buy it,  buy you'll be walking more than driving.  I say keep looking....

  3. You need to get a mechanic to look over the car BEFORE you buy, and get a CarFax report. Used cars are sold "as-is" and can't be returned, even if the seller lies to you about the car's condition.

  4. Its an amazing price but DONT buy it until you get a history report!

  5. High miles, price is ok but these cars are noted for expensive and frequent repairs. Look at something practical and reliable, especially considering it is your first vehicle purchase.

  6. You shoudn't purchase this car jaguars are out of style these days you should get a mazda car.

  7. Jaguar should be renamed Junk-guar
