I'm planning my 80's style sweet 16 - any ideas?

So I'm having a sweet 16 soon and I need some ideas. the theme is 80's and I was going to rent out a venue and have a band called powerspace play and also have a dj. I know that would be something...but I don't know what else to do. the band would play for like 45 minutes or an hour, but then what else would there be to do? I was thinking of getting a big projector screen for rock band also. help meeee. I'm not really sure how much my budget is...just throw out some ideas. thanks :)

Great idea! I'm 22 so can half remember some of the 80s :P plus spent most of my childhood watching Countdown video tapes that my parents had recorded ha ha.

I would suggest dressing in 80s fashion if you haven't already decided on that. A big screen would be great because you could run 80s music clips, a montage of 80s movies or some tv shows from that era.

Maybe watch some 80s movies/tv shows for other ideas. You could serve food and drinks that were popular then? Basically just try an create an atmosphere that feels and looks like the 80s. That would be so fun.
