  1. It's really ridiculous that people call anything on the lower back a tramp stamp when it makes perfect sense to get a tattoo there seeing how much space there is and how easy it is to conceal.  The design itself sounds pretty basic and boring to me, but if you really want it, then don't pay any attention to what anyone else thinks.  It's your body that it's going to be on forever, not theirs.

The pain isn't unbearable, but it's definitely not a walk in the park either.

  2. you should do whatever you want, and don't worry about what other people think. if this is something you know you want, and won't regret, do it!

as for the pain, it doesn't hurt that bad. it is more annoying than anything, but of course it depends on your pain tolerance.

  3. Does the tattoo mean anything to you? or is it just a design? The placement of the tattoo is indeed a "tramp stamp." But if it's what you want, then go for it. Make sure it's something you're going to love for the rest of your life.

  4. ok don't pay attention to the simple minded posters here calling it a tramp stamp

you make the tattoo, it doesn't make you

get it if it is something you want and can feel in your heart of hearts that when you are 20, 30, 50 yrs down the line you won't ever regret it.

pain it part of the experience of getting a tattoo.  you really won't know how uncomfortable the feeling will be till they start. they can always stop and do more later.

you will be alright. enjoy your LOWER BACK TATTOO

  5. If you like it, great.  However, it's a typical, run of the mill tattoo.  As for it being called a "tramp stamp", well, it's true, so don't be surprised when you hear people say that to you.

A tattoo is (usually) for life.  Get something that *means* something to you. Get something that you won't be seeing on a zillion other people.

  6. I agree with nataliex,

my only worry is your statement - "a rough idea of what i want" - I would feel better if you said you loved roses, and you have been looking and found just the right image, or you had a picture of someone you loved holding this beautiful rose and you wanted it as a tattoo, or you wanted a rose but needed help in the design, or if it was open or closed or long stem or on it's side ... etc.

But, maybe you are more sure in what you want in the image than you came across to me.

If you 'know' then go for it, and make sure your artist has the image and placement that feels right to you.

But if you are the slightest bit unsure, then it wouldn't hurt to wait.

Do not rely on your friends opinions, they aren't wearing your skin and living your life (on past knowing them).

    Trust yourself.

  7. Get the rose and the word BLESSED!
