I'm practically a big newb with this kinda stuff. I'm basically looking to not spend alot, and the CCs doesnt matter... I don't mind purchasing used, so if you can also explain... what i should be looking for and what to avoid when buying a used motorcycle. This will be for recreational riding and when the weather permits... to and from work which entails highway travel. Any suggestions would be great as it can point me in the right direction on what i should be looking at before i totally make a bad purchase. Thanks, this means alot.

  1. first take ur local msf course. that done buy somethin like a ninja 500.  its not too small  and perfect for beginners.

  2. I believe you may like the Kawasaki Ninja 650R.

  3. First check this out:

Now that you know the dangers of riding, respect it and you'll make less stupid move while riding.

Start slow and get a small bike (250cc).  Remember you are still learning for about 1 to 2 years.

Lots of small starter bikes are used by inexperience people and so they would have been dropped few time (or more) and even in an accident.  So just be careful of bikes that are just too cheap.

    Good Luck...

  4. first decide if you want a sport bike or a cruiser...

either one has it's good points and bad points...

once you've decided that, go used, and go small for your first bike...
