I'm planning on buying this camcorder. Can I have a opinion on it please?

i was actually looking at that same one and i read one of the reviews on bestbuy.com about it and the only really bad thing i found was that someone said it was bad at night, so you'll have to use it in well lit places but other then that, they said it was a great camera for the price

If you are not planning to record loud audio (bands, motors, etc.) and if you are not planning to take it any higher than about 9500 feet (do you snow ski in the mountains?) and if you are OK with wrestling with the .MOD file format that all JVC hard drive camcorders spit out (making it a challenge to edit), then it will be a fine camcorder.
