I'm planning on getting a Toshiba Tablet...?

Question

and I was wondering if anyone who had one would have some advice on what model I should get? Right now I have a Dell Inspiron 1501, and didn't realize until after I got it that it really sucks... I only payed about $600 for it though, so I don't entirely mind. Tablet notebooks start at around $1500 though, and I don't want to gamble this time.

There is quite a large selection of TabletPC's nowadays, more than can be described here.

I would suggest reading through the following 2 TabletPC forums.  They discuss all brands and you'll be able to read about their plusses and drawbacks and determine which is the right unit for you.
