I'm planning on getting a camera that has 16MB of memory. About how many pictures can that hold?

I'm most likely gonna get a memory stick, but I'm curious about how many pictures the camera can hold by itself with 16MB.

It sounds like your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. And if it is used for a camera that has low resolution, perhaps a few, or even a handful of photos.

That really depends on the resolution of the images. If I assume it is a 5 megapixel camera, it will hold about 10 images. 16 MB is not enough. You need a memory stick. You can find them very cheap on Amazon.

16MB is a teeny tiny amount of internal memory which will most likely only allow you to shoot about 5-8 images or less. Making it completely useless.

So, you need to buy a memory card (1-2GB as a minimum). There is approx. 1000MB in each GB, so you can see that 16MB is absolutely nothing.
