I'm planning on going to fort polk in louisiana this weekend, will i be safe from gustav?

when and where is it supposed to hit? i heard its supposed to hit new orleans first, and i live in beaumont, so im kind of worried about waiting until monday to come back home. do you think it will be safe to drive home back to beaumont on monday?

i dont know what to do.....

Remember Katrina was predicted to hit Pensacola.  You won't know until much later.  You will just have to wait and see.

it's way too early to call that. i'd wait until tomorrow morning...at least until it enters the gulf and they have a better idea of the proj. path.

  You'll be fine. Just be back home by 12 or so monday.
