I gave birth to my daughter naturally almost 6 years ago. I just found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant and am planning a natural birth again. With my first, I was in labor 14 hours and threw up pretty much 6 months until I took some medication. I keep hearing that 2nd and 3rd labors are a bit easier...it that true?

  1. My second was as difficult as my first.

  2. I have also heard that usually the 2nd labor is easier. I guess it's also a little easier because you kinda already know what to expect.

This is my first pregnancy, and I am scared of labor!

  3. My OB told me that 2nd time you can expect it to me half as long as first.

My 1st was 13 hours, my second was 4 hours - my third was 56 minutes and my 4th was 15 mins. Then it came to my 5th and she was 4 hours!!

Pretty much everyone I know had a much easier 2nd time around labour.

  4. I think every pregnancy is different. It has been 6yrs so I am not sure on it being easier. I think its easier when you have one after another like within 2 yrs. But I could be wrong.
