Could anyone tell me the best place to visit for the weekend. There will be 4 girls aged 23. So we would like some bars plus things to do during the day.

Thanks :-)

  1. Edinburgh Is a beautiful town!

    I have been there many times and I love it.

  2. I'd recommend either Glasgow or Edinburgh as they're both bustling cities with good nightlife. Edinburgh is definitely more picturesque, with plenty of daytime attractions and quite a 'touristy' feel, whereas Glasgow has better shopping and more pubs and clubs aimed at younger people.

    Just because you stay in one doesn't mean you can't visit the other though... public transport runs all through the day and night and it takes about an hour to travel between the two. If you're taking the train make sure and avoid the rush-hour as those bumping gits at Scotrail will charge you double for the 'privilege' of standing in a cramped carriage.

    Have fun :)

  3. That's easy - come to Inverness for the weekend!! It's easily accessible by air,road and rail,and is a lovely city.There are so many bars and clubs(may I recommend MacCallums Bar in Union Street,just along from the main amentities,they have live music on Thu-Sun as well as a fantastic DJ who does music as well as Karaoke Fri-Sun),and the staff are very helpful and so friendly.I'm a regular in there!!

    There is also Inverness Castle,many tours and loch ness,as well as the most amazing scenery ever!!

  4. HI in Scotland you can use Bars like-

        * Airdrie

        * Alloa

        * Arbroath

        * Ayr

        * Clydebank

        * Dumfries

        * Dundee

        * Dunfermline

        * Greenock

        * Hamilton

  6. Edinburgh! It's one of the most enjoyable, beautiful and happenning Cities in Europe.

    Nightlife of Bars Clubs etc and plenty of historic sites and ghost tours to visit by day (or night if your stomache is up for it).

    Unfortunatley you've just missed the International Festival but, on the plus side, accommodation is cheaper now.

    Enjoy my home town!

  7. Don't if you are English,

    The Scots dislike the English,

  8. I have a friend in Glasgow.  I dont know where youre going in Scotland, so cant help you.

    HOWEVER, she sent me this wonderful site with a lot of great wallpaper photos. Thought you might enjoy it.
