  1. I'm from the UK. I went to the University of Warwick to study biological sciences - I graduated in 2005. It was a really good course however there was a lot of work! Typical of biology - a lot of memorisation!

The course had around 300 students. All lectures were on the Gibet hill campus. This was a 10 min walk from the main campus and halls of residence. It was a nice walk in the summer and frosty mornings. You'll see lakes, rivers, ducks, and greenery the whole way.

In first year everyone does the same subjects. In second year you get to choose modules but have to do some core modules in molecular biology, genetics and lab work. I got into BS for the wrong reasons - I had a good biology teacher at school and she inspired me to study BS. During my second year I decided on studying medicine and subsequently chose medically related modules.

It set me up well for my first and second year at medical school. The course at Warwick was molecular based and if that is not the bio you are into, go somewhere else.

You'll have lab and lab reports to do each week. I think it was once a week in first year then twice in second year. Thrid year depends on what you chose to do.

The lecturers were really nice as well.

    Hope this helps
