I'm pregnant and I heard s*x will induce labor. But my boyfriend is scared to do it will s*x toys work?

It supposedly induces labor, but you have to be dialated and effaced for it to work.  Honestly I doubt s*x really does much unless you were about to go into labor anyway.  Tell him it'll be fine

If he's scared just tell him to m********e into a condom, take the condom off, and let you invert the condom inside yourself, thus putting his s***n inside yourself.

no they wont, unfortuatly.... i know how ur feeling, its one of the chemicalls in the man's seamen that induces labour so s*x toys are a nono. shame i know! enjoy your last little while of it just being you! and being able to leave the house without packing a suitcase every time...! good luck with everything and just remember this... you wont be pregnant forever, it HAS to come out at some point so dont worry! x

Well, s***n is part of what helps to bring on labor because it helps to break down the cervix.  But you having an o****m can also jump start contractions, so you can do that on your own or with toys.  Another thing you can do on your own that can help bring on labor is nipple stimulation.  Don't worry, either way you won't be pregnant forever - LOL!

s*x doesn't work, nothing does.  sorry baby will come when it's ready, i know it's depressing, but i was advised by my midwife to try s*x when i was over a week late on my daughter and it doesn't work.  the midwives should offer you cervical sweep if you are late, but in my experience labour is slow and long after one of these

well, doctors encourage s*x because s***n is like a natural pitocin, ( what they use to induce labor) and can help thin your cervix, and an orgasam can help trigger contractions. a lot of women swear by s*x and walking as natural ways to induce labor. (these are also the safest). so, i would say that just using toys might help, but wouldn't be as effective as having s*x.

No, it's his s***n that will help soften your cervix.  Tell him that he won't be getting any for at least 6 weeks after baby is born and maybe alot longer if there are complications so he should take advantage now...lol.

No.  It is the prostgandalins in the s***n which is the "stimulant".   It is the same hormone used when the induce you to ripen your cervix.   So some believe s***n helps rippen the cervix.  

Don't listen to the "o****m" theory - no amount of orgasms will get a cervix ripe and dilating.  Else the hospital wouldn;t waste so much money on IV's and gels when they could just give you a voucher for the local s*x shop.   lol.

s*x will induce labor... when i went to the doctor i was 1 centimeter dialated and right after the stuck her finger in me my labor started after a few hours..  Walk a lot, it will hurt but it will help you get going.  if you can swim try to swim too!  good luck I hope for your sake the baby will come very soon!

So far, I have seen no answers with documentation to indicate that s***n causes labor, nor that o****m causes labor.

However......  you won't be pregnant forever.  Up to two weeks overdue might be just because the due date wasn't properly set or your baby needed an extra week.  The doctor will tell you if the baby is getting too big and you needed to be induced, or even do a Ceasarian.  I hope you have a natural birth and breastfeeding.

Just let nature take its course, unless medical intervention is needed.

And please breastfeed.

I would think that if you are waaaaaaaaay prego and due any second... that rigorous love-making... either with your hubby or some s*x toys, would hasten going into labor... but I've never been prego so have no experience with birth, stretch-marked tummies and wrecked vaginas... at least not yet anyways.

Sue Johansson of "Talk s*x" clearly stated that having s*x will not induce labor prior to like 8 months. And 8 months is a long way to wait without s*x.

Yes, it could help.  It's the contractions caused by o****m which are supposed to help kick-start labor, and you can obviously do that with s*x toys.  Note that this is not a surefire method.

It is the actual s***n that helps prepre your cervix, so s*x toys won't really help.  Some people say orgasms can cause contractions, but those contractions wouldn't really matter of if you're not dilating or effaced.

NO s*x TOYS WONT WORK. THE s***n IS WHAT HELPS YOU GO INTO LABOR. TRY HANGING THE PELVIC AREA OFF THE RIM OF THE BED OR SOFA TO HAVE s*x....THAT'S WHAT WORKED FOR ME! LOL!
