I'm pregnant and we've been dating for 6months. Help!?

Question

So here's my issue. My boyfriend of 6mths and I recently found out I was pregnant. Totally not planned. I live 150miles away he's a farmer i'm a nurse. I'm about 7wks now. He's a shy person who kind of keeps to himself when trouble arises so i've been giving him some time and space to think about things. It would be plan to move out there closer to when the baby comes. But he's still iffy on everything. I know he's not the type of guy to walk away from his responsibilities and he's great with his niece and nephew. Do I continue to give him space? I emailed him last week and told that I respect his need for space and "Have faith that you'll make the right decision." was I wrong to say this? Any advice for me? I'm suppose to drive out there next week and talk to him.

I don't think you were wrong for giving him a little space or saying that! Some men who weren't ready for kids need space to think and sort things out. Since your a nurse, it shouldn't be hard to find work where he is! Good luck with everything.

Yeah thats good that you have given him space. But the two of you also need to discuss this its a major!

My partner and I got pregnant in the first few months of our relationship and we both had children from previous marriages... anyway we lost our baby two weeks later but we are still together now and very happy.

Some guys don't deal with situations like this so I wish you all the best and try not to pressure him into anything, unfortunately many girls do this..
