  1. You're allowed to "carry on" one piece of luggage, and one "personal bag".  The personal bag must fit under the seat in front of you.  Stow all your important documents and electronics, etc. in the personal bag.  It can be a small backpack.

  2. usually they allow you a backpack as a carryon and one personal item - such as a purse, camera bag, laptop, etc. so i'm pretty sure you can bring the camera bag and a carryon. i'd double check with the airline - mayeb check thier website.

  3. No it is more along the lines of a purse. A person is allowed to bring one carry-on and a purse or laptop or in your case a handycam case. The airlines biggest complaint is people trying to bring too large of a carry-on. I have seen this so many times and now the airlines are finally cracking down.

  4. I traveled long distance about seven months ago and my camera bag was not counted as a carry-on. However, I do strongly recommend you to have some space for it in your carry-on bag just in case.

  5. It would not be considered a carry on but it would be considered your personal item. You are allowed one carry on and one personal item (purse, briefcase, tote bag, ect.).
