  1. So you don't fit a stereotype. You're not supposed to. Isn't it more fun and interesting to just be who you are instead of who society says you should be?

And those MTV reality shows suck anyways.

  2. Hi XX,

You sound like a very strong women.  That is something to be proud of!  I'm sure you could be weak if you wanted to be, but you are too intelligent and strong to fit that mold.

So you walk a more difficult path, but it is more satisfying then being someone you are not.

If you want to be more feminine, look for role models that are strong and intelligent like you.  There have been women in history that are strong, women in the movie industry, and women in business and politics.  All of them struggled with the same issues you are questioning.

Be proud, we need more young women like you.

  3. be your self for ever!!!!!!

  4. You sound interesting!  I guess the easiest way for you to see the more feminine side of your character, would be to find an aquaintance you think you could align yourself with, and spend some time bonding with her..?  Sorry, it is all I got!  Other than, you are an individual, you have friends and a boy-friend who seem happy to love you just as you are!

  5. I'm not all that girly, either. I never find myself wanting to have more girl friends. Most girls are really mean, gossipy, backstabbers and I don't desire to befriend them. I'm much happier hangin with the guys.

However, I thought my boyfriend might appreciate me being a little girlier. A few days ago I went and got my finger and toe nails done and he keeps talking about how cute my little toes look, lol. I think boys don't say it, but they like to see their girlfriends' girly side. Just little things like that can help you feel more feminine.

  6. You are who you are.  Embrace it, dont change it!

  7. If you're happy with yourself and your life, why change? Today's society puts a lot of pressure on girls to look soft, feminine, s**y, a bit dumb, etc. Your natural personality goes against what society expects, and that makes you a bit insecure.

Society expects men to behave and look a certain way, and for women to behave and look a certain way. There are many human traits that are generally thought of as either feminine or masculine. But, in reality, most people are "constructed" with a blend of female and male charactoristics - to varying degrees. So, some men enjoy fussing with gardens and housework, and some women love tearing engines apart and enjoy fishing.

Love yourself for who you are. As long as you're comfortable in your own skin, ignore all those silly expectations that society lays on you.
