  3. well, i started writting some small papers about different areas of horse care and ridding in general.

i have a whole list of topics, and some of the papers. . . if you want em and a few website with good pics drop me a line.

    basic topics:

grooming-head to toe and basic body parts of the horse. and the names of each tool used.

tacking up- parts of the tack and what they do/where they go.

different types of equipment-basic to training equipment that you may use.

for fun can cover breeds, colors, and different riding styles/sports.

    untacking/care after riding.

    barn safety and cleaning.

tons of stuff to teach. hehe. anyway good luck.

  4. well, this past week, my barn's summer camp just ended. The notebook would have to have anything you can possibly think of. Go to a book store and find a book on training horses for all the facts on what you need. Every week was different at the camp, because it was new kids every week. try that, too. we did the camp for YMCA... anyways, try that, and be happy to get back at me via email at Lovelyhorsefriend06@yahoo.com or on myspace.com/ibsaved21

  5. Two things that should be stressed are why hoof care is so important, and instruction on how to pick out the hooves and check for abnormalities, etc., and the physics of bits could be taught, with demonstrations of the different types and how they affect the horse's mouth.  You could also show them how to clean the bits each time they are used.

  6. dont start me off! i could go on for days!the way i would think and go through everything to do with horses is to write down the first thing that you would do if you wanted to get a horse all the ways of getting one, the best sort to get for the right person size, breed etc.the cost of buying and keeping a horse then once youve got one where to keep it the different sorts of places livery yards, all year round grazing etc.then when youve found somewhere how your gonna get it there then once youve got your horse the first things you need to do etc.then go through all the equiptment you'll need depending o what sort of horse and what your planning to do, then just go through everything that you would do on a day to day basis and through the different times of year eg.summer theres shows, problems withsweetitch for example, winter if you ride alot whether the horse will need clipping n a rug to breaking the ice in water troughs!theres so many things to think about! use your own experieances to help you? just go through everything that you have to do to keep a horse, from what the first thing that you do everyday is to the last thing at night!the list is endless! but like me im 24yrs old ive had horses since the age of 5 and ive had 20 different horses and ponies! i know it sounds bad havin had so many but there you go! theres so many stories and experiences that ive had over the years if it ws me making a notebook thats what id use to make!if you havent had that much experience like that then get some stories off people that have!the only other thing you can do is to read as many books, magazines, dvds, info from the net as possible then make notes of anything you havent already wrote about. i think the best way to teach kids is to if possible show them how to do things and let them do it for themselves!its more fun that way!goodluck with your new job! and if your as mad about horses as most people are then youve got nothing to worry about!it'l all come to you very easierly!well hopefully!
