I'm really confused i need help w/ science?

so we're trying to find some pros and cons of using corn to fuel cars. Anybody know any? i've found a few like:

less pollution

can be produced domestically

and does anybody know anymore?

and some cons i found are:

can be more expensive then gasoline

contains less energy then gasoline

and one more thing, is corn ethanol?

Actually, do to the amount of land needed for Corn production, Corn based fuels would be MORE damaging to the environment in the short run.

also, the amount of energy required to make ethanol from corn is more than the energy ethanol creates
