Its simply propoganda to say we dont have the technology at the moment or its not economically feasable! bullshit It is possible to make a car that runs on air compression 2 gallons of dieslel fuel and electricity and have 3/4 the mass of a ford ranger or standard car? Think about it gas for hills air compression for citys and electricty for the freeway this car could go 100 mph and not look g*y. This super hybrid makes

sense its better than current hybrids because they dont use 16 gallons of gasoline what the h**l can we do we are addicted to driving like a crack addict is addcited to well crack. We are releasing fumes into our air its nasty lets stop it within the next 5 years lets take control and change this **** ok!

  1. OK!!!!!!!!!

  2. Ride your bike and get more people you work with to do the same.

Put greater pressure on your city to form a better public trans system.

Most large cities in America are not really designed for public transportation so please be patient.

HOV lanes have helped in Dallas. Dallas is one of the most green cities in America because of the efforts of people like yourself and politicians getting on board with it. They started back in the 70's so don't expect a change overnight.

  3. Americans are changing, slowly.  And of course there are going to be slower changeovers in some places where ecology cars just cannot do the trick (when it's snowy in Montana, a Prius is not going to be able to handle it).  Here in my town, I would say at least 50% of the cars we see are now ecology cars (hybrids) because the price of gas is so high.  And I'm sure as car manufacturers get better at making ecology cars, more people will be buying them.  We even have a few electric cars tootling around but they have a very limited mileage to them.  Plus, people are in love with their private space in their cars--that's what gets me the most.  50 cars with only the driver in the car.  Need a bottle of milk, store is only 3 blocks away but jump in your car and drive there.  We have buses and commuter trains that can get you almost anywhere (with enough time, that is).  You can bike or skate or scooter.  But cars are still more time-efficient (don't have to wait 40 mins for the jam-packed bus for a ride that only takes 10mins).  Find ways that make owning a car so economically painful or disgruntling and Americans will give up their cars.

  4. No link?

  5. Europe and Japan have very nice little cars NOW that get 50MPG. They seat 4-5 people comfortably and go fast enough. They are diesel, so they produce less CO2, use less energy to produce the fuel, and can burn bio diesel if available. They also cost much less. These cars are made by Ford, Toyota, Peugeot?,  VW, etc. The best Hybrid today gets 45MPG.

Technology is not the problem. It is the consumer who is demanding more power, more size, etc. We had cars back in the 80's that got 50MPG and Better (VW and Honda), but the public rejected them.

Compressed air, Electric, Hybrid, etc. all need a specific amount of power to move a particular amount of weight through the air and overcome friction. Power comes from somewhere. Can't deny the laws of physics just because you change the source. Don't fool yourself.

  6. Why don't you go and buy one.  I'll pass, however, until it becomes economically competative with my conventional car.

  7. Get a Tata Nano.
