  1. provide smooth operation

  2. Use an eye shadow primer to help your colors more vibrant and longer lasting. I love Urban Decay Primer Potion (Sephora, Ulta, Macy's 16$) it's well worth the price

to enlarge your eyes use the lightest color in your inner corner (near your nose) and build up darker as you move towards your outer corners

blend! harsh lines are not pretty.

makeup has no set set rules. have fun with it! experiment to find what's right for you

  3. go to www.youtube.com and search for people showing you how to apply makeup and they will show you in detail.

try typing in, eye shadow or smoky eyes or whatever and it will find videos for you

  4. Make sure you have the right shade, and apply the shade on the eye lid just above the lashes with a very light touch.  Then a slightly darker shade in the crease of the eye, and blend it in with the other one, then a lighter shade for the highlights just below your eyebrow, from the center on out, again a very light touch.  It pays to get the very best brushes you can afford.  Blend them in together with the tip of a cotton swab.  Take a look at how models do their eyes.  Apply eyeliner lightly, just a hint, on upper and lower.  The lower ones you just apply from the center out and smudge just a tad.  Then apply mascara to the upper lashes.  You should be all set!

  5. follow these steps

1-Pick the colors that work best with your eyes and skin tone. Matching your eye color or using colors that contrast can really make your eye color stand out.

2-Prime your eyelid with a shadow base or primer. This will help keep your eyeshadow in place for hours. Use an applicator wand to dab a small dot on to your eyelid and then spread it over entire eyelid with your finger. If you do not have shadow base or primer, use face powder on your lids as a base.

3- Apply your base (or lightest) color by sweeping your shadow brush across the entire eyelid. Cover from brow to lash line.

4- Use the medium shadow to cover your lower lids.

5- Highlight the crease of your eyelid with the darkest shadow. Start at outer corner of the eye above the lash line and follow crease. Use on the lower lash line along the outer corner of the eye to create a V shape.

6- Make your eyes appear larger by applying a shimmery eyeshadow directly under the brow bone. Place a dot of white eyeshadow or eye pencil on the inside corner of your eye (right by the tear duct) to make your eyes look brighter.

7-Have fun trying different application techniques and a variety of colors, and practice applying your eyeshadow until you get the look you want. Practice does make perfect.

8-Your three shades of shadow should be a light base color, a darker color for the lower part of the lid and a highlighter for the crease.

  6. there are a lot of tips to start with; first you must not be in a closed in place if you can avoid sweating before putting make-up that's already a good thing first step. second you have to know the tone of your skin what kind of you got. then when applying eyeshadows first step is to apply light cream on your face, then the foundation all over the face, then first eyeshadow you should put is white then your preference color as final.

is this message gave you a good start.?

  8. Let me just tell you, I've been doing eyeshadow for YEARS.  The best things you can do for eyeshadow application is make sure you buy brushes to help better blend your pigments.  Make sure the colors that you are choosing to apply fit your style and skin tone.  Do you want natural or bold colors?

I like to start out with a tiny bit of concealer to make the powder stay.  Put some lightly over your eye lid.  Then get a pretty base color.  A very pearly white works wonders and makes colors pop more easily.  Apply the white base all the way to your brow line.  Then choose your color, than a darker accent color "like brown or black" to enhance the color you chose.  Use an eye shadow brush not the crappy little smudgy tool they give you.  You can buy brushes at target or walmart and they make all the difference trust me.  Then apply the lighter color that you chose over your eyelid just above your natural crease on the outer parts of your eye.  Then take the darker color and apply it in a circular motion on the outer most part of your eye and across your eye crease. Make sure you blend carefully.  I would also suggest using a small eye shadow brush to dust some of the eyeshadow color right beneath your bottom lash as well.  Then apply eyeliner and mascara and you are done!  I will give you a link to a video that may help you out.  Even if you don't want bold colors this girl is very good at showing you how to blend and use brushes.  Hope that helps :)

  9. How do you honestly have trouble applying eyeshadow?

    :\ ...

  10. look at your eyes in the mirror, only put eyeshadow on the eye lids, don't put it above it like almost to your eyebrows.  put it on lightly and in quick little swipes.  i put eyeshadow on the bottom of my eyelids and it looks really cool, you just use the side of the eyeshadow applicator and do the same thing as you did on top.

if you are still having trouble i think if you go into Kohls they will show you how but you have to pay them because they use you as the demonstration.
