I'm really nervous about the first day of school?

i sound like i'm starting kindy or something haha, but i'm really nervous about starting high school, basicalyl because pretty much everyone that goes there came from the same middle school, so they all already know each other, and other people that didnt still like know each other. and i'm going to be going and know like 1 person, who i doubt i even have the same classes or lunch with. how do i make friends quickly? its so hard to when they already have cliques, argh! i'm scared i'll be sitting with no one at lunch :(

That was kinds close 2 my problem! ( but I'm going 2 8th grade hehe)

I remember I sat by myself on the first day of school, but don't worry u won't be the only one!

talk 2 people by ur lockers, or a class u feel most calm in. ( that help 4 me) before u know it, u'll be having friends 2 sit with at lunch!

Hey, I'm starting my first day as a freshman this week and I'm a little nervous too. So you don't really know anybody and the people there already know each other and that's why your nervous. Well I'm going to a high school with a lot of people I already know, but I'm still nervous because even people who know each other want to make more new friends. Don't sweat it, I'm pretty sure in almost every class, at least one person will speak to you. Once you have a good conversation with somebody, you can ask them what period they have lunch if you want to.

Remember, almost everybody is nervous, and most likely a lot of people will try to talk to people they don't know. Good luck!

just be nice...and smile alot! im goin to a new school too where idk anyone but i met some people and they were all interested because i was "The new kid" lol im sure people will take interest in you! good luck and remember be yourself!

Heres a hint: EVERYONE will be just as nervous as you are on the first day of HS. I am starting 9th grade this year too, and am freaking out!:-)

But if you're friendly, outgoing, and look confident, you'll be a people magnet! Speak up and if no one talks to you at first, aproach them!
