Ok I live in a small town of like 3000 pple. in michigan. Well on July 11th I stole a $2.58 pack of turkey from the deli. Also I know what I did was wrong. I am really sorry for it. I went shopping got everything I needed but realized before I got to the self-check out that I didn't have enough money so I stuck the pack of turkey in with another pack of meat from the deli. I felt really bad and I still do. I haven't been caught but I scared that I'm gonna get caught. My dad is friends with the owner but they haven't talked in a couple months. I've been in the store about 7 times since then but not as much as normal because I've been working a lot. I'm just wondering if I can still get caught or what are my chances of being caught? I'm 20 and this is the first time I would ever get in trouble. The store only has camera's no guards or anything. What do you think my chance are of being caught now and what will happen if I do get caught?

  1. Just tell the cashier that you owe them money for turkey you made home with and was not charged any money and you are there to pay for it.  You have been in several times since then but you keep forgetting. Your conscience will be cleared.  Never do it again.

  2. Here's what you should do. Go to the store with $2.58. Tell the owner you stole the pack of turkey and you feel guilty about it. I'm sure he and your father(if he tells him), will admire your honesty and he will not report you to the police.

  3. Do the right thing, Take the $2.58 to the store, explain what you did, and make things right. They will respect your honesty.

By the way, I respect the fact that you have a conscience. Not many do these days, as you can tell by these answers.

  4. If you shut up and don't say anything, you'll be okay. If they haven't busted you yet, they probably won't. It's not like you stole jewels or anything.

  5. your in the clear your ok

  6. Slim to none....You probably won't get caught but don't ever do it again meathead.

  7. Your being paranoid, no one noticed and no one is gonna arrest you, not now. If you feel that bad go and give them the money.....

  8. Explain what you did. That's what I have to do all the time -- not because I stole, other things. It just bugs me until I can't take it anymore! So just tell them, they'll probably understand.

  9. Look here you young whipper snapper, don't go getting all gooey eyed and start crying or anything like that. At least not now that you have gotten away with it. Believe it or not I know just where you are talking about and I'm debating whether or not to snitch on you, but I'm not a snitch. So, you'll be given another chance and the next time you do something like that they're going to catch you and take you into the back room and beat the living boo boo out of you after slapping the cowboy S**t out of you also. So don't do it again....

  10. youll be ok man, its only $2.58 the store probably wont care unless its wal mart, then they prosecute no matter who you are or what you stole.

  11. If they haven't found out yet they probably won't. Youre in the clear!

  12. dont even worry about it its a lil pack of turkey your not going to topple there food empire just because you stole something

  13. Well you knew what you did was wrong and just don't do anything like that again!!!

  14. Everyone makes mistakes.  If you were going to be caught it would have happened by now.  Instead it is your conscious which is pricking your guilt.  I would return the money anonymously stating what happened and undertake to yourself never to do it again.  You were lucky once, however, twice you may not be so lucky.

  15. I suppose 2.58 was hardly worth all this trouble you are going through.  You probably won't be caught BUT the sad thing is you have now given yourself the title of a "thief".  Do you realize when you steal, the store loses money and the prices go up for all of us?  You really should confront the owner, admit what you did, apologize, pay for the item and ask what you can do to make it right for what you've done.  You should also ask God for forgiveness.
