I'm reading through all the news articles. I shudder thinking about it. I get really affected by these sorts of things. I think about the relatives, and I feel so depressed and my heart goes out for them. I don't know how to deal with all my emotion for this.

  1. make the most of your life.you never know whats round that bend.

it just may be your turn soon.

  2. It's nice you are empathetic. But real shock is what I am in--my grandchild died on August 9.

  3. so   you are not alone on this we are (if we are human) affected by these things.

Its a case of learning to cope.. how old are you ??

  4. its sad but thats part of the circle of life im afraid :/ just wait til its your relatives. i dunno, get used to it now.

  5. you and me my friend. Theres soo many bad things going on in this world, from plane crashes to suicide bombings , if  you keep thinking about it you ll just make yourself depressed. There isnt a whole lot we can do other than selfishly ignore it and focus on the good things in your life.

Dont read the news too much its just goina get you down.

  6. Try not to think about it, and it is a rare thing.

  7. This just means you are very empathetic which is a very useful quality though can mean you can get upset about things which others would not.  You could try talking to someone about it, writing it down or perhaps distracting yourself, which sounds harsh as I know you will be thinking that the relatives will be unable to 'distract themselves' but unfortunately individuals cannot bear the world's pain alone.

You could focus on small ways you feel you could make the world a better place such as charity work, buying the big issue, saving energy....

I hope this helps, I do understand.  You may need some sleep and you may feel more stable in the morning x

  8. I feel for the relatives - its  terrible thing and my thoughts are with them, but ...

This is by scale of magnitude much less a tragedy compared to the ongoing atrocities going on in Zimbabwe if the news reports are as reliable as they seem - and this is entirely preventable.

I mention this as I feel about the victims of Robert Mugabe how you feel about the plane crash.

  9. Just thank the lord that its not you or anyone you know...

    God bless all involved :-(

  10. I know what you're talking about.  When news like that starts to affect me to the point you're talking about, i just have to stop reading about it, or watching.  They're always such sad stories, and I can't imagine what the relatives are going through.

There was once a certain news site I used to go to often, until I read the most upsetting article of my life, that I cried for days.  I quit going there, and havent really been back,  it was all I could do.  I know it definitely helped ease the depressing feelings.

  11. Yes I am with you on this one -- all going on holiday not care and then this.

    Life goes on Honey.
