I'm 12 years old. I'm about 4"9 in height, and I'm probably the smallest person in sixth grade. I do not eat vegetables and I was wondering what kinds of food should I eat (that are not vegetables) to help me grow taller. And I was wondering if my weight is average for my height/age. I'm 84 pounds. Okay, thanks bye :)

  1. you'll probably have a growth spirt soon.

you can drink more milk, but it's not proven to make you grow taller,

    no food is.

If your parents are small too, than you might be done growing, but i doubt it.

  2. Eat vegetables.

They have plenty of minerals and vitamins that will help with growth. If you get the right nutrients, you will grow normally.

But you can't really do anything to make yourself taller.

    If you grow, you do.

    If you don't, you don't.

  3. You're fine don't worry. And you'll probably grow anyway.

  4. 84 pounds?

    LUCKY!

I'm 13 and 133 lbs, and trust me, i am by NO means fat.

    Haha.

    Don't beleive me?

    Actually, you are underweight.

According to this site, you are too skinny.

    Best answer?

    I really tried... (:

  5. You don't need to grow taller. Short girls rule! There's a girl in 6th grade that I know that is shorter than you.

Being 4"9 and 84 lb.s is actually very healthy. So stop worrying!!!

P.S. Some veggies are really good. Try something like artichokes. Yum... lol

  6. well ull grow n mik helps ur bones get stonger so try that hahah

  7. 84 pounds is not fat by any stretch of the imagination. If you don't eat vegetables at all you aren't getting the nutrition that you need. You can try to eat other things but honestly it would only mildly help. There are a few products that have vegetables in them designed to not taste like it, like v8 fusion which just tastes like fruit because it's 1/2 fruit juice or veggie chips which have 1/2 a serving of vegetables in them but just taste like potato chips. Since you're so small I would suggest eating plenty of protein - meat, beans, tofu if your family eats that, etc. You're only 12 and tiny so you should be able to eat as much as you want without having to worry about being fat.

  8. EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. just eat ur veggies.. some r good

  10. ur average

nd come on ur in 6th grade

    ur still growing

almost all 6th graders are short

    dont worry you'll  grow

  11. Milk and lean protein, like chicken and fish.

  12. ur not fat for ur height. eat vegetables. why r u afraido f them

  13. wow your not fat ,your only 12!! you have a bunch of growing to do so i wouldn't worry about it your average for your age

  14. get off the computer and take a jog.

  15. It could be worse.  I am 14 years old and i am 4"10 I weigh 88 pounds....so you can't be fat cuz i am not fat....I don't think i am!

  16. Your BMI is 18.2, and that means you are underweight! (by .3)

You are doing everything right, don't worry :)

  17. what has the world come to that a 12 year old thinks their too short and too fat. listen, why in the world dont you like to eat lettuce, green peppers, cucumbers, etc. Just have them with salad dressing such as ranch and eat celery with penuat butter

  18. I know that all these adults saying eat your vegetables is going through on ear and out the other, but it's for good cause. There is tons of fat in almost everything else. My science teacher told me that fat tissues hold the muscles together in the body. In this way, every time you bit into non-ground meat, you're getting a mouthful of fat. Not gonna do much for that diet you're looking for, and certainly won't take off love handles.

However, if you really insist on staying away from vegetables, at least start taking vitamins like One-a-Day or Centrum to get the nutrients you're lacking and loosing.

  19. hun u r not fat at all. stop worring about it. If you want to grow and be healthy, eat plenty of fruits, veggies, whole grains, dairy. Sweets are ok if you only have them once in a while! Good Luck
