I'm really worried about my lovebirds'eggs!?

help please.

my lovebirds are laying eggs now.the first eggs was laid weeks ago and only need a full weeks to complete the 23 days b4 hatching.i need help.i want to know if they're fertile.can i possibly get the eggs without disturbing the incubation time?how to know if they're fertile?i need step and processes.do i need to have some light?and is 8 eggs too many and means i have 2 hens?what if they lay eggs again and it exceeds 8 eggs?does that mean i have two hens?please answer.i'm worried.first time breeder.

  2. Sometimes if you hold the egg up to a light, you can see an embreo.  If you do, the egg is fertile, but be careful because sometimes it is fertile but you can't see an embreo.

    Though touching the eggs may cause the mother to not go near the eggs because of the scent of human on the egg.

    Also, Is the egg hard? If it is, it is fertile.

  3. you can get a simple penn light and that will illuminate the eggs like an x-ray, you can see everything inside, if you move slowly, take  the eggs out, check them with t he pennlight, and put them back slowly, this will not make the lovebirds abandon them, however, i raised many baby birds and i can tell you that the anticipation is unbearable, if you can, just wait them out, find the timelines for your lovebirds incubation period and if it goes two days past the normal time, they are no good. try to relax and by the way, with finches, and im not sure about parrots, commonly the first clutch that a female ever lays is not fertile
